I created "Biwako no Shizuku" by combining such characteristics of wood and Lake Biwa, which shines in different colors depending on the season, time, place, and angle.
We hope you will enjoy the charm of nature in this small accessory.

When did these crafts start to craft?：100 years ago / 1900AD / Showa period in Japan

At Ijiri Engraving Studio, we place great importance on applying the engraving techniques handed down from our predecessors into works that are blended in with the modern society. The service of the company is not limited to shrines and temples, but also focuses on the production of carved nameplates for ordinary homes and signboards for stores and other facilities. The works, which are carved by hand one by one by craftsmen, have warmth and originality, and have a mysterious charm that attracts people.

Income for Craftsman: Craftsman get only less than 10% of selling price?

As written above, craftsman have not controlled last phase of sales channel that resulting in selling price is set by third-party without craftsman’s recognition. There are some cases that only less than 10% of selling price is given to craftsman. We promise with our customer / craftsman that we offer the fair trade with craftsmen in our contract!
