Before the war, my grandfather began weaving by handloom here in Nishijin, and today we operate five power looms.
The weaving business, passed down through three generations, was incorporated as Origoshi Co., Ltd. in 2006, and we have been involved in obi fabric production for over 80 years.
Our skilled craftsmen, each with 30 to 50 years of experience, apply their time-honored techniques and a deep commitment to using only the finest materials to continue the tradition of Nishijin weaving.
