Easy-to-carry amulet made by a traditional artisan in Kyoto.
An item with an ancient Japanese spirit that leads to the spirit of Yamato damashii and Bushido.
A gem created by artisan with their soul in the motif of "Sendan no ita" that protects the vital points of the chest of the armor.
Metal fitting pattern is Botan(peony). Typical pattern of Kyoto armor. Peonies are considered the king of all flowers and represent happiness, wealth, nobility, and luxury.

Kyoto Armor
In Taisho year 14 (1925), in Eikando-cho at the foot of the Higashiyama mountain range in Kyoto, the traditional Kyoto armor-making craft of Kazari Katchu was initiated by the armor fabric master, Zenjiro Imamura, under the name Heianju Ichisui. Since then, the techniques have been passed down through generations and further refined, continuing to this day.

I always aim to produce high-quality crafts through meticulous handcrafting down to the finest details. The role of festival decorations is to celebrate milestones by displaying them annually, creating many memories and strong bonds each time. For this, the craft must be of such excellence that it withstands repeated viewings.

Furthermore, crafts made from carefully selected quality materials develop a deeper character over time. The Heianju Ichisui armor, growing alongside your son, will age over the years and eventually become a unique decoration like no other.

Income for Craftsman: Craftsman get only less than 10% of selling price?

As written above, craftsman have not controlled last phase of sales channel that resulting in selling price is set by third-party without craftsman’s recognition. There are some cases that only less than 10% of selling price is given to craftsman. We promise with our customer / craftsman that we offer the fair trade with craftsmen in our contract!
