He has been a craftsman in Kyoto, Japan since 1995, making shoji screens, hanging scrolls, and folding screens for use in tea rooms. He used to be a band member and spent his days playing music, but after visiting a relative's Hyogu shop, he became fascinated by the depth of the art of Hyogu and decided to become a craftsman.
